The Central government plans to invest Rs 5,000 crore (Rs 50 billion) to develop Dugarajapatnam port in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore District.
The mines ministry on Friday said it has sought the law ministry's advice on how to go about granting leases till the proposed new mining Bill, having provisions for auctioning of mines, is passed.
Dr Viswapati Trivedi, secretary, Union Ministry of Mines, has been abruptly shunted out without prior intimation.
